Titles of grandeur do not sit comfortably on my shoulders. When I first read the headline suggesting that I am ‘The Guardian of the Planet’, I pictured myself slipping into a phone box to change into a Superman outfit, except I was sporting a big ‘G’ on my chest. It’s not going to happen. Spandex is not my style. Not in public anyway.
But here is the point. Humanity, with a few exceptions, has become so very disconnected with the Earth and all the creatures that live on it, that we have forgotten that we are all Guardians of the Planet. Human beings are hard-wired to ensure their own continued existence as a species through reproduction, adaptation and evolvement. We are all creatures of creation.
So what has gone wrong? How is it possible that we have reached a crossroad where we stand to deliver a planet in a state of environmental crisis to our own children? What can be done?
In the pages of this blog, I would like to humbly offer the one and only way that we can make this right.
Yes, I am just a flawed, imperfect human being. But much to my surprise, circumstances keep catapulting me to a place where I can no longer ignore my place as a messenger. I already retell this message in my photography, songwriting, programs & presentations, but this is not enough. The situation demands an awakening of viral proportions.
And the answer? What is it that will be our savior?
It’s purpose of course. It’s our individual & unique calling. It’s the why we are here. Join me on this journey in search of purpose. All I have to offer in return is a world living in harmony.
Spandex optional.
